Toby Swartz, nee Tobiansky, 92, beloved wife of the late Leonard for 66 years; loving mother of William (Gail), Buzz, Gary and the late EvLynn Neesan; proud grandmother of Kimberly (Craig) Johnson, Michelle (Paulo) Rojas, Nicole (Brian) Stedham, Bryan Swartz, Carly (Jefford) Humes and Rachel Swartz; adoring great-grandmother of eight; dear sister of many; devoted foster parent to many wonderful children. Chapel service Thursday, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. I am one of many foster children that Toby took care of. I do not think of her as a foster mother but as my “mom”. She was loving, caring, giving and sweet. Always wanted everyone around her to be happy. I am very blessed that she shared her love and her home with me. Even a few months ago when I saw her she expressed her love for me with the biggest smile and I could see it in her eyes and feel it in my heart. She will always be a part of me, in my heart and in my memories forever.
